Connie McClellan, (Now Corporal ) John McClellan's mother, chronicles this story with a day-by-day account of her son's miraculous recovery. Substantiated by the daily e-mails from 'Connie's e-mail address book, "My Miracle Marine" details not only the miracles God performed in this young Marine's life, but also the miracles He did in the lives of John's mother and father. God repeatedly reminded them through little coincidental, yet dramatic ways, that "I will not leave or forsake you."
In addition, the story gives testimony of the many other soliders who were touched during Lcpl McClellan's 26-day stay at Bethesda National Naval Medical Center, and subsequent 27 days of rehab at the James A. Haley VA Hospital in Tampa, FL.
Since returning from Florida in November 2006, Cpl. McClellan has continued to amaze everyone with the supernatural restoration of his mind and body. The collection of 150+ e-mails sent by Connie McClellan to the thousands of prayer partners and concerned Americans created by the e-mail "ripple," allows the reader to experience the emotions felt by John's family along with the thousands of people touched by the story as it developed.

Connie's experiences demonstrate not only the power of prayer but also her commitment to her son - I am honored to have met this wonderful mom. These are the Marines and the families that make this such an awesome experience - Semper Fi all!!!! |

| Just read the book and it was a really good. Prayer when answered the way we want it wonderful, but we do have to remember that God answers in HIS way not ours. Would a recommend for all to read. |

I've started reading this book and I'm on page 114. I've enjoyed it so far and the power of prayer is evident in this story. I am amazed of the positive upbeat attitude that Connie had throughout a very difficult experience.
As I read the book I keep asking myself, how would I react if this happened to my Marine son. I hope I could be this positive. I do think the book would be better if Connie would have mentioned her emotions. I can't help but think she must have had crying episodes, but so far they are not mentioned. |
